Mental Load

There’s a kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix.

The kind that comes from always being the one who remembers.

Who plans.

Who anticipates what everyone else needs before they even ask.

It’s invisible work.

The kind no one thanks you for because they don’t even notice it’s happening.

And over time, it builds.

Not into something loud…

but into something heavy.

Because being “the strong one” doesn’t mean you’re not tired.

It just means you’ve learned how to carry it quietly.
