What My Childhood Taught Me

My childhood taught me many things.

Most of them were lessons I never should have had to learn.

Some people grow up learning about safety, trust, and stability.

Others grow up learning how to survive.

I learned very early how to read people.

How to recognize manipulation.

How to see when someone’s words didn’t match their actions.

Those are not lessons children should have to learn.

But once you learn them, you never unlearn them.
